Photograms

This is one of the photographic techniques of image production used by Man Ray.

It is achieved by exposing photographic paper very briefly (with an enlarger) or more slowly (in sun light) and then developing it in the normal way.

Transparent objects placed on the paper will appear in outline.

The lines visible in the images of glass are the results of resonances as in the lines of polarization in minerals, made visible by the short exposure - or so I am informed by a geologist friend.
